An efficient management of river basins is essential for not only satisfying the water requirement of the society but also for tackling almost annual flooding in some areas while drought in another. Fukken's has been active in such areas as forecasting flood volume or drought condition and providing effect mitigation and rehabilitation measures in affected areas. Fukken also conducts hydrologic studies, rainfall and run-off analysis, inundation analysis, planning and design works in Japan and elsewhere.
