The main task of geotechnical engineering is to grasp the behavior of ground as a whole. The so-called "data-based construction method" is to measure and analyze the actual behavior of ground under construction, reevaluate design values, feed the results to the next stage of construction and thereby proceed construction works safely achieving the target performance of a structure.
The trend of construction industry nowadays is that construction works get bigger in scale involving more advanced technology. Under these circumstances, the data-based soil stabilization and monitoring method is introduced to a large number of construction sites as a means of better application of data to next stage of construction.
The establishment of Fukken's Geotechnical Division dates back to the early 1970's when the technology of "data-based soil stabilization and monitoring" was first applied as a pioneer for the Hiroshima West Airfield Offshore Extension Project. Since then we have participated in numerous construction projects as a pioneer of the data-based soil stabilization and monitoring technique.
We shall continue challenging large-scale projects with our accumulated soil stabilization and monitoring know-how gained from past experiences over the last decades.
